Overview
Responsible for assisting in the organization and execution of internal and external communications across all departments of the Kalamazoo Country Club. This individual will play a vital role in keeping our communication streamlined, accurate, and timely, ensuring an exceptional experience for both our members and our team. This internship is ideal for a student studying Communications, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
What You’ll Be Doing
May include but not limited to:
Communications Coordination:
- Gather, organize, and maintain all communication materials from various departments
- Build and manage a centralized communications timeline/calendar
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in all outward-facing member communications
Website Oversight:
- Routinely check for accuracy, outdated information, and usability issues
- Coordinate with appropriate departments for content updates
Member Texting System:
- Respond to member inquiries and “zingles” in a timely, professional manner
- Review and maintain accuracy of auto-responses and system messages
Member Engagement & Recognition:
- Monitor and report on unspent food and beverage minimums
- Prepare and send birthday cards for members
- Assist in distribution of member guides and event follow-up surveys
Team Member Engagement:
- Coordinate birthday and work anniversary recognition for staff
- Support ongoing team morale and recognition efforts
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and update the KCC Master Calendar
- Prepare and organize post-event wrap-up documents
- Reset member website passwords upon request
- Print and distribute updated menus and flyers throughout the clubhouse
- Rotate marketing materials and event flyers as needed
